Bouf v2.0 is nearly ready to go live - fingers crossed it will be first week of September! As well as a load of new features and improvements to the site, the Bouf brand has evolved, making it a more sophisticated venue to buy and sell. We hope you enjoy it, and thanks for your patience this week while we put the icing on the cake.

Alex on BBC’s Beat the Boss programme

Alex on BBC\'s Beat the Boss programme

Sometimes we make idiots of ourselves all for a bit of free PR. And today was one of those days. I was on the programme “Beat the Boss” on BBC One today. Three “Big Shots” compete against three “Bright Sparks” to create the ultimate Birthday cake. If you want to find out which team won - you’ll just have to watch it for yourself!

It’s live on the BBC iPlayer for the next 6 days.

Showcasing Event for Bouf Sellers

We had an excellent evening last night showcasing a wide range of our Sellers and their products. Thank you to all the Sellers who took part and made it such a successful evening, and of course thanks to Couvoisier and the Observer for sponsoring the event, and White Label for organising and promoting it! Watch this space for our next big event!

Bouf hits the airwaves

We were interviewed live on LBC Radio (97.3FM) today by presenter James Max, best-known for his participation in the first series of the BBC’s The Apprentice. James and his listeners were forced to hear us talk about all the designers and artists out there that need somewhere like Bouf to sell their distinctive products. Thanks for the interview James!

Shell Livewire Entrepreneur of the Year London and the South Winner!

Aaaaaand relax. Yep today we beat off some stiff competition to win the London heats. I was proud to collect the Shell liveWIRE Entrepeneur of the Year award for London and a £3000 prize for Bouf. But I didn’t do it alone. We showcased a selection of products available at Bouf, including Vitamin’s Urban Gnome, Hulger’s P*Phone, Zoe Stanton’s Fairshare Champagne Fountain and Charlie Davidson’s Wheeler Stools. Thank you all for your support, and thanks to Shell liveWIRE for acknowledging us as a promising young company.

Shell Livewire Local Area Winner

After an incredible week, I arrived back from Milan today, to learn that I’d won the Shell liveWIRE Entrepeneur of the Year award for our local area (Lambeth and Southwark). This is great news, and means I’m up against all the local area winners in London next month in the finals. Watch this space.

See you in Milan

It’s that time of year to jet off to the Salone del Mobile (the Milan Furniture Fair) to find a new wave of emerging products and designers. We’ll be flying in this evening, and you can find us at the Designersblock launch party tonight. Thank you to all the designers who have invited us to your private viewings - we will do our very best to make it to all of them.

To those of you that can’t join us in Milan, we will be showcasing the best new products we come across on Bouf, so remember to add Bouf to your bookmarks. Ciao!
